Plum in Kitano Tenman-gū (北野天満宮)

It turns into a new season, but it starts plum blossom during this time in Kitano Tenman-gū of Kyoto where is also the one of famous place to see.

Time starts in the end of February to next end of month that it takes one month around.

Weather was pretty at that day, so I went there to see. 

Actually, it’s also my first time to Kitano Tenman-gū.

It talks about plum blossom,

I don’t even know the difference between cherry blossom and plum blossom at the first, but after that I can tell the difference.

As photo below shows that the petal of plum blossom is round, branches and leaves directly attached to the bud.

Spring is about to coming, and it’s getting warmer.

Kitano Tenman-gū, which is one of the main Tenman-gu in Japan, also called Kitano Tenjin-jinja and Kitano Temmangu.

The shrine is built in 947, to appease the spirit of Sugawara no Michizane, who is the ancient Japanese good at knowledge. In recent years, it’s famous for pray for their luck from study.

Because he also loved plum blossom, plum blossom is one of the famous attractions here.

It starts from February 25, there will be a plum festival every year, and that’s why that they are used the shape of plum flower as Tianmengu’s totem. (References from Wiki Kitano Tenman-gū and Kitano Tenman-gū official website)

The plum blossom in main hall is not so much, but it seems show up some in the surroundings.

From my first impress of plum is dark pink plum blossom, but I came to see it this time.

It makes some changes of my mind.

There are white, pink, and little bit difference from my impress.

I don’t say I am good at photographing, but I have passion to do so.

I took a lot from 3 to the closed time 4 pm, while the color of sky was keeping changing.

White plum with sky blue makes up like a painting.

There are also red one.

but also in front of the shrine.

The most interesting is

Some of the branch grow in upside, but the other is like opposite side.

This is for the situation at present now in Kitano Tenmen-gu.

The weather was great so it captured many nice shots.

However, it’s not all for today yet.

I would like to share one more place that can see the plum blossom at night.

People always see the cherry blossom and maple during the season at night as well, but not for plum blossom, right?

Somehow is an event which called Kyoto Hanatouro in Higashiyama area, started from March 3^th to 12^th.

It can see the light of the moon. It’s also very beautiful at night.

Higashiyama hanatouro is along Kiyomizu-tera, Kodaiji, Yasaka shrine, and some of the famous ancient temple of the path.

Visitors can come and experience the romantic night in Kyoto, and the path is about 5 kilometer with 2,500 LED lights to light up on the street♪

The night illuminated the road and the crowd gathered here.

The light revealed the night, and it makes warming.

Stone road, and hazy trees swaying shining lights and shadows.

Here you can experience very Kyoto-style old-fashioned buildings and see many pedestrians walking on the street.

There are two kinds of light.

One is from the host of official Kyoto Hanatouro.

The color is various.

Another is put in a Japanese Hanji character -Hana, the meaning of word is flower.

However, It made by children’s creation.

Is that very cute, isn’t it? lol
