Japanese Tea House- Starbucks in Nineizaka

It’s been opened a Japanese Tea house Starbucks in Nineizaka since June in 2017, and it’s the only one throughout the world. It’s located near Nineizaka in Kiyomizudera.

From the appearance, it looks like a century-old building of Japanese-style tea house, so it seems not like a modern Starbucks.

It shows the block logo on the left side, and the dark navy curtain on the right side.
However, it’s not so weird that put the Starbuck into this atmosphere.

I went there in the afternoon because it’s not so crowded during this time.

Thus, it’s better to go there before checking the time they might not have so many people.

There is a small Japanese garden when I was in there.

Previously here was a hotel, so there were a lot of the original things left before.

Then you will see Starbucks counter.

I found that here is more Matcha desserts than the other Starbucks shop.

As you can see on the other side, the logo shows on the wall.

After ordering at front desk, we need to pick it on another side.

It talked about the old house in Kyoto. It’s especially narrow and deep inside, so it named nagaya in Japanese which means a long house.

Usually, it’s a Japanese garden in the deepest area of the house.

Then, here we are in the pickup desk.

There are so many people, so the route is one way.
Then I went upstairs to find the seat.

The tatami seat is not so many on the second floor, and it’s a little bit hot inside I don’t know if it’s a pretty old house.

However, I think it’s beautiful to see from this window.

I think it’s better to see this scenery in autumn.

There are two decorations I would like to share with you.

One is Niche, also called Tokonoma in Japanese.

The niche is the necessary element of traditional Japanese houses.
There will usually be hanging axles, flowers, or potted decorations.

Second one is hanging ornaments.

It is a Japanese-style rainber, the main purpose is the drainage of buildings, concentrated on the ground function.

The Starbucks he used the rainber with the LED lights, turned into a feature place in the store.

Although this day under the rain, but also full of poetic. This side has become a new tourist attraction.
